Everything is perfect except that they are too soft in the heel which ruins it all.

On my 2nd pair-used to wear Nike. I don't have lower back pain with Waves, have wide feet for female,& I'm a heavier runner (muscle weight). I run 37 miles avg per week. love them!!!!

I like the Wave Rider 11s. They provide reasonable cushioning but are responsive enough for faster running. I am a 175 lb neutral runner with higher than average arches. I like the Wave Riders for all my runs 10K and less and for speed work. They are lightweight also. They fit great but might b...

this shoes is not at its best, too much stability not good for high arc runners. I wore it for 10 minutes and the bottom of my foot starts to feel pain. The pain reminded me of my old injury. I'm glad I didn't not run with it as soon as I wore it. very poor shoes for my own opinion.

Road Runner Sports/Mizuno. Please strike a deal that will allow RRS to make the WR9 a permanent fixture as a Classic choice. Because it was truly a classic. All of the Narrow footed runners will flock back to Mizuno and proudly wear the bird once again.

Sorry, but I like em'. I've run in the 7's,10's and now the 11's. If you have narrow feet, check out some fashionable Nike's. The WR 11's don't feel alot wider to me than the 7's did, (although I was able to go down a half size to accomodate my wide feet), instead of buying a full size bigger, like...

Much worse than the wave rider 10. The wave in the heel is too soft on the outside, I'm 5'8", 137 so the force of my foot strike shouldn't be causing premature breakdown of the heel. Mizuno should go back to the wr 9.

Tue, July 29,2008:
Please, Mizuno, I beg you! Please bring back the fit of the Rider 9! The 10 was terrible and the 11 only is marginally better. I wish that I never would have tried the 9 because I am now spoiled and have not found anything that can really replace it in terms of fit and responsiveness. The WR 11 ...

I'm sorry, on my prior post i meant to say downsize a half size, not a full size

Fri, June 13,2008:
I was bummed when mizuno changed the upper on the rider 10 and 11. It's purpose with this move is to sell more shoes to the masses with wider feet. I have an average width foot and in these shoes i'm all over the toe box no matter how i tie the shoes. Out of desperation( i did try other brands with ...

It's always hit or miss with the Rider. This one's a royal dud. To mushy, no heel pop in the transition. Been running in Mizunos since 2000. Best shoe yet is the Creation 2000--it's Precision with more EVA and a much stiffer full-foot wave plate--the shoe flies. The Rider 11 has larger wave hol...

Loved my two pairs of WR7's. Hated my WR10's. Tried on WR11's - felt just like 400 mile old WR10's. Bought adidas Supernova 7's. Satisfied, but not as happy as would be with a new pair of WR7-9's. Still wearing 700 mile old WR7's to the gym, reminiscing about better days. *sadface*

What the heck happened? The WR11 update is horrable. With no change to how I have been running, I developed shin splints in the first few days and PF to go along with it, in both feet none the less. I don't know what all changed with this new model, But this shoe has me looking for another brand aft...

Contrary to other reviewers’ opinions, I felt that the WR11 was a bit soft for my taste. 5"9, 140-- Had to switch to the Precision.

Mon, May 26,2008:
Loved the Rider 8s and wanted to keep the Mizuno love going but these shoes are horrible. There is NO cushioning compared to earlier WR models. My first run using them, I got shin-splinty pain that has remained with me no matter how I stretch. I loved Mizuno because they make wide shoes (6'3", 22...

Sun, May 04,2008:
What is wrong with Mizuno these days with horrible updates? Mizuno destroyed the Rider with Version 10 with its disgustingly large cavernous toebox and flat arch that caters to the masses of people with large, wide, feet. The Rider 11 is slightly more snug than the 10, but still fits HUGE compared...

Been looking for a replacement for the unbelievably good Wave Rider (WR) 9. The WR9 fits my narrow foot perfectly, and has the ideal amount of cushioning and support. But man, the WR9 has a super short life span. I have a string bean physique at 5'10", 138 pounds with a light midfoot strike, but ...

The Rider 11 is very well reviewed by all the running mags this year, so I decided to try this shoe and found that it works well. I'm a light runner, 5'6" 128 lbs. I wasn't sure if this shoe would provide enough cushioning for ultra training, but it seems to perform fine. No real issues during te...

these are great. i don't do much distance running, but the first day i got these, i went for a run and did almost double what i used to do in terms of mileage. extremely comfortable especially with the insole.

Mon, March 17,2008:
I loved the 10's and these are just as good. The cushioning is perfect for my frame 5'6" 180 and I really like the room in the toe box for my wide feet.

21.    wr life rated this product 4 stars
Sun, March 16,2008:
Unlike about half of the people that tried wr10s i loved the extra room. these shoes are snugger but no complants after 2 months of wear and tear. give them a little bit and they will grow on you.

Why can't Mizuno stop ruining good shoes!!! My foot was flopping everywhere. I downsized as much as i could and yet my foot was slipping all around the shoe. I felt like i was in a EE. Mizuno, go back to widthes so i can get that snug fit again

I have run in Creations for years and was looking for a lighter shoe and tried these and love em. I actually feel like I am being propelled forward by these shoes. So far so good I have done one long run and a few speed workouts with them, could not be happier.

Strange! I've been running the Wave Rider for about 6 years. Several marathons and thousands of training miles beneath the soles. Decided to upgrade to the Rider 11 (Size 11), under the guidance of the RRS rep. The Rider 11 (Size 11) was a full 1/2 inch longer. When I switched to the size 10.5,...

I think I've made a big mistake. I've been a New Balance 1061 guy and decided they were getting too pricey (especially when I add the SOLE brand inserts). I tried out the Rider yesterday and initially thought the heels felt very hard--like there were blocks under them. Well this morning I could b...
